Nice to meet you, I’m Rachel Kook. And the story of our camp begins at a single moment when the whole world came to a standstill. Who among us doesn’t remember the days of the pandemic? The world shut down; no one could come or go. Little by little, we learned to navigate life under lockdown, but our hearts were all broken in one place: the closed schools. After long months of isolation at home, summer arrived, and with it a great fear— How do we protect our girls? How do we prevent this difficult period from damaging their spirit, vitality, and joy of life?
There, in the midst of the crisis, I was called to action. I grew up in a home that always believed in the power of camp. My parents, who sent me every summer to top camps in the U.S., knew that nothing could replace that experience. They believed, as our teachers always emphasized, that a supportive, positive, and energetic environment has the power to shape a young girl’s spirit in a way that no other setting can.
I saw it for myself. I saw how new friendships, independence, and the uplifting atmosphere built me up summer after summer, until I myself became part of the management team at camps abroad.
That summer during the pandemic, my father turned to me and said: “Rachel, the girls here need this experience now more than ever. Give them what you received there.” I took up the challenge. When I saw the light in the girls’ eyes, their hearts opening up, and their growth—I realized this was my calling.
Many people ask me, “Where do you find the strength, year after year, to put your life on hold, stay up all night, prepare lessons and programs, interview each girl personally, and ensure the highest standards in both material and spiritual matters?”
My answer is simple: the results. The heartfelt letters from parents who tearfully describe the impact the camp has had on their daughters, and the knowledge that our camp is not just a two-week experience— it’s a source of strength and faith that lasts the entire year.
We’re not just a camp; we’re a family. To keep things warm and personal, we have one ironclad rule: We never go beyond the first bus. Here, everyone knows everyone else, everyone loves everyone else, and everyone goes home as sisters.
If you’d like to join the MJ family, experience two weeks in a whole new world, travel from north to south, and enjoy unique and exclusive attractions—you’ve come to the right place.
If you, too, want to rise above with joy, please feel free to contact me

The camp is based in Jerusalem, in the Old City, at a small boutique hotel near the Western Wall. During the camp, we will stay at other locations in the north and south.
The camp is designed for high-achieving girls from the House of Jacob, ages 13–18. The camp is conducted in English, but is also suitable for Israeli girls who want to come and improve their English in a fun and engaging way.
English is an integral part of the MJ experience. It gives the girls the feeling of being at camp abroad, with a unique vibe, while also enabling Israeli girls to come away from the summer with better English skills, confidence in speaking, and knowledge acquired naturally through experience.
Of course, even if you don’t know English, you’ll definitely be fine. The camp takes place in Israel, and most of the girls are Israeli. From experience, even girls who were worried about it did great and left the camp with improved English skills and more confidence.
The team is coming from abroad.
The camp is led by Rabbi Yitzchak Goldstein, shlita, and maintains a high-quality, warm, and respectful atmosphere.
